Re: Request from a fellow shipyard resident and owner from FaceBook post

It's also important to note that the plans registered with the city planning and development show that space as a park as well in their diagrams. I'll dig them up and attach them on the google doc

Hey Fellow Condo Owners - Below is a message that was posted on the Shipyard FaceBook group.  It includes a link to a shared google doc. So if you have anything to share on the subject matter that is the correct place to do it.

Neighbors,

Once again, Lennar lied to us and our building (Thayer - 551 Hudson) is exploring our options. During the buying process, we all inquired about the plans for the empty lot next to us on Friedell (in between Innes and Hudson) and all were told it's being handed over to the city, who were planning to turn it into a park. Artist renditions suggested the same and it was a selling point for all of us. (We have the screens shots as proof).

Fast forward to June and rumors started it will be a large housing development. We reached out to Lennar, they confirmed again it's city owned, but this time produced an appendix document explaining that it COULD be large housing development, which no one called attention to when asked during the selling process. We've reached out to the city and OCII (the org responsible for the development) confirmed that the housing has been planned since 2003 and they're sorry it was never disclosed. The website has now been updated to reflect a building on the lot and apparently design proposals are being solicited next month for a building with ~80 units and only 40 parking spots.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!! I'm sure many of you were told the same and we some data on the magnitude! Please click on the google dock (https://docs.google.com/…/102Ub67JnVv8dr6iwCi9yb56dKB…/edit…

) and enter the info requested as well as indicate whether you'd like to join with us (column F) as we continue to understand our options.

Our goal is to work with Lennar / the City to make it the park we were promised. Lennar is still debating if they're going to be our partner in this quest and the data in the google doc will help us to better understand the magnitude of their misrepresentation and what our options will be to hold Lennar accountable.

Thanks!

Handicapped parking spot

Happy Friday or weekend everyone... Im sorry this doesn't apply to most of you, so forgive me for taking up your time. I just wanted to clear the air on my end to those who use the parking garage, and I may have offended. I drive an older black honda accord and park in the blue handicap spot near the trash room. I woke up to work yesterday with this note on my windshield.

I also have had people leave garbage on my car, and some other odd things have happened. I just want to say that this is the spot Lennar assigned to me, and I hate that they did that. I am in my thirties and completely physically healthy, its downright embarrassing. You dont know how many phone calls, emails, arguments, and curse outs I had with Lennar or whoever, when I first moved in about not wanting that spot. Im not a lawyer I finally gave up Im not gonna spend my life arguing with Lennar. If anyone is bothered by my parking there, by all means complain to whoever holds power over that I encourage you, you'll be doing me a favor....If anyone else genuinely has a tough time moving around physically, message me and I'll swap you that damn spot for a dinner ha Peace 👍🏻🤓

Re: Summer Wine on the roof

Hi Merchant neighbors, the wife and I are out of town and just received confirmation that we have some packages waiting around for us. Would someone mind putting them in the community room for us so they're not sitting in the lobby all weekend? We'd really appreciate it.

If you could send a quick note when you do so, that would be great. Thanks so much!

OK it has been a while since I have heard about a Wine on the Roof Thursday so lets do one this Thursday. (As in tomorrow or today depending on when you read this email.)  So if you are around at 6:45-7ish come up to the roof and join your neighbors.
