Thank you to everyone who gave! We just gave the gifts this afternoon, and the total came out to $700, or $350/driver! Bravo to all of you! 

I have already put a reminder for myself to start this process in late Oct/early Nov so its not a few months late! Let's aim to beat our '2016' goal!

Hello Shipyard Friends,

I hope everyone's 2017 is off to a strong start! My wife Jaclynn and I meant to send this out in Oct/Nov, but, well, the beautiful chaos of the holidays happened.

Anyway, I'm writing because we both would like to raise a little holiday gift for Trina and Rommey (sp?), our amazing Shipyard drivers. They work hard, long hours, and for the most part, think they do an amazing job of escorting us to and from all our happenings.

On top of that, I learned this week that they only get paid $20/hr with NO BENEFITS.

So, if you feel like you have benefitted greatly from their services, I would encourage you to join us in giving a little 'thank you' back.

I am more than happy to keep an accounting of the gifts and provide receipts for anyone. We're planning on getting gift cards to a useful place like Amazon, Target, Safeway, etc. Suggestions welcome.

Finally, I would appreciate two things from you all:

1. Passing this message along to all Shipyard residents, especially in other buildings as I don't have their info.

2. Letting me know in the next three weeks, by Friday, February 10, if you'd like to donate, how much, and how/when you can get us your contribution (Venmo is likely easiest, but cash or check will work as well).
