Re: Roof Grille + 1st wine on the for 2019

Hi everyone,

Many boxes are being moved to the gym as of now (thanks Karin) to be on the safe side as we spotted potentially the same person as the last time.

Best,

Gulnur

Hi Everyone,
I hope this is the updated list with all the current residents.
Me and Greg moved some boxes to the gym just FYI after spotting some suspicious gaze on them.

Somehow I'm added late to thread, what is the exact date and start time? Is it tonight or 5/2 (1st Thursday)?

Hey Merch Crew,

Yes there are issues with the Grill not working.  A ticket was submitted.  Associa is looking into to it and I am trying to get an update about it.

On other things the time change has occurred and it is staying light later in the day which means we should try to have our first 2019 Thursday Night Wine on the Roof.  So please come on up to the roof and see what your neighbors have been up to since you last saw them, which in some cases may have been the last time we did this.  Start time is 6:30 but if you get home later then that just come up when you get home.  Please remember it can get a little windy and cold as the sunset so bring a jacket with you.

Finally please look over the list to see if you notice any neighbors in our building are missing or if you own a unit and new renters have moved in please let me know so we can have a good up-to-date email list for our building.

The main gas shutoff is turned off somewhere in the building. The local shutoff valve is open but no gas.

Katie,

You need to check with First Service Residential about how to obtain footage from the camera's.  If you fill a police report, which everyone should do if something is stolen, they know how to get the footage from FSR.  Just make sure to remind them when filling your claim the buildings mail area has a video camera.

Another day, another stolen package here in the Merchant building. Received a delivery confirmation email at 6:45pm tonight while I was out, returned home just now at 8:40pm and the package is nowhere to be found. This is now twice in less than a week. Starting to feel like someone is doing a nightly sweep of our mail area, and now I'm not so sure it's people outside the building considering this is happening too quickly and too often.

Also, received a phone call from a local bank after someone tried to cash a check in my name after having my mail stolen over the weekend.

Frustrated is an understatement. Any ideas? Anyone care?

  1. The list that has been used is a little old, here is the latest list I have, if people are missing let me know so I can add them.
  2. Yes please stop with the notes on the car.  When each unit was sold by Lennar everybody was assigned a parking spot.  The 2 ADA spots got assigned as well at time of sale.  Should somebody need to one of the ADA spots whose unit was not assigned an ADA spot they should submit a request to First Service.  It is then taken to the HOA board for approval.  Should it be approved then the the person who needs the spot and the person who has the spot then switch spots for as long as the requesting person needs the spot.  (This has occured in other building the process works.)  Once that person moves or no longer needs the spot then spots get switched back to the original assignments at time of sale.    If you need handicap parking please submit the request and if you don't but are the person who has been leaving note please stop the person is legally parking in the correct spot.

All,

Whoever left this note should contact the HOA.

Although I'm not sure the legality of the HOA assigning a handicapped spot to a resident, it's definetly not this guys fault.

In the recent past, I have had multiple packages stolen as well (that I know of).  We have actually seen empty, torn apart packages in the "pocket park" by the new construction by Friedell and Hudson.

It would be great if we could have UPS or FedEx leave packages in the gym, our doors or other secure room like they used to. There are about 100 packages downstairs right now right in front of the window and door. Whenever we have a huge amount like this week and the holidays, I always worry things will get taken. I agree, we need a better solution than advertising our unclaimed packages through the Donahue windows.

PACKAGES STOLEN FROM MAIL AREA

Hi everyone,

My wife and I just returned from a trip after being gone for 6 nights and collected a bunch of our packages in the mail area here in the Merchant building. While collecting our packages, we found that one had been torn open and the contents taken out (photo attached). Then, upon returning to our condo and opening all the packages, we noticed that one package--for which we had a deliver confirmation email--was not among our packages, which means it was stolen entirely. We receive multiple packages daily, including many that we don't know are coming, so now we are unsure how many packages we have lost in total while away.

Did anyone else experience torn open or entirely missing packages these last several days?

I'm unsure of how to proceed here. Isn't there a camera installed in the mail room?
