Re: Reminder Group Meeting Tonight and St. Patrick's Day Wine on the Roof

Thank you Jason for organizing and hosting,

1.       1. Is room downstairs might be also an option to meet? Stand Up format? We might add whiteboard there? :)

2.       2. Should we add/expand "Kofi" agenda point and include discussion about Having Lawyer(with Construction Defects experience) to represent us, or at least send next letter to Kofi on our behalf?

3.       3. Why that is needed?

4.       I've being on several meetings, and I think that we (special THX to you Jason) did "number of extra miles" trying to be friendly and asking number of times to fix our needs, share plans of addressing our needs, showing readiness to wait/cooperate …

5.       But half year later what we have in hand:

a.        1 letter answer from Kofi, confirming that he is not going to solve our problems unless there are no more than 2 of them AND they cost not more than 2 cents to him, or unless they are direct threat for sales - like security. Rest - he is winning the time.

b.      We should remember that time is not on our side.

c.       Completing building; 1 year warranty. They refuse to share list of issues and time when they fix things (next meeting after their promise). 4 month later they can't fix even rubber under my door (2 visits where lennar representative explained that they will fix only what is cheap to do). It seems that they fix some things for some people and trying to convince others with same issues that it is ok like it is; …

d.      As I understand from Kofi letter building across the street may be 5 floors from the top of the lot. So it will block our SF view from the roof above 4th floor. And despite of number of our requests – seems that they not going to do anything about that… Or I'm wrong?

6.       So maybe we should stop rely on our endless chatting with Lennar representatives and check if the Law should/might help us?

7.       Maybe someone can advise some Lawyers and rough budget to tackle for example 2 things

a.       SF view from the common area on the roof

b.      Bosh washer and dryer (as that is might be quick win, as we have case/precedent that Lennar replaced them for one gentleman)

Reminder that we have our meeting Tonight.  Since nobody else volunteered I will host the meeting in my place, unit 411 (Merchant) at 7pm.  For our Thayer neighbors come over to our building and then look up my name, Jason Fried, listed by first name, on the call box and I can buzz you in and then come up to the 4th floor, turn right from the elevator once on the floor.

Now for the fun part of being in the neighborhood lets do Wine on the Roof Thursday which this week is St. Patrick's Day, so wear or drink something Green.  We start at 7pm, but you may want to arrive a few minutes early since with the time change the sun set a few minutes before 7pm yesterday so a great time to be on the roof.
