Shipyard Neighborhood Watch Meeting: Update / Next Meeting in Nov

All:

We had Oct 19th set as our second neighborhood watch meeting with a representative from the Bayview police department as the featured guest.  However, we were not able to secure the Welcome center vecause of turnover on Lennar's side (Via Kirkwood) and Jillian Fiske's not being available.  So we will have to re-schdule.  I'm working with Jillian and the SF SAFE team to get some dates for sometime during the first 2 weeks of November. I will keep you posted.

Hello Kathryn.  Our next meeting will feature Captain Vaswani of the Bayview police department (or one of his officers).  I've been working with Adam Cuadra with the SF SAFE team and Lennar on a meeting date.  We have narrowed down 3 dates below, and are waiting for Captain Vaswani to get back to us. Based on recent experience and other events, it appears that we will have much to discuss at the next meeting.  As soon as I get confirmation, I will book the meeting and send a communication.

At about 2:30pm today I was walking down Innes with my phone in my hand and listening to music with earbuds. I turned around to find a male in his 20's about 6 foot walking close behind me.. I turned back around and kept walking 30 seconds later he jumped at me and tried to grab my cell phone out of my hands. I held on to the phone but he ripped the ear buds off of me and ran up the hill up Griffith street. He was with 2 other 20 year olds and they ran into a house at the top of the hill. I called the police, reported this and drove with the police to identify the house that they ran into. Here is a pic I took as he ran away.
