I had a similar incident about 2 weeks ago on a weekend day.  Same description of woman saying that her mother was a renter in our building in a number that doesn't exist in our building and she was trying to get in because her mother was babysitting her children.  She said her cell phone was out of batteries and she couldn't call. I did  not let her in. 

We are in 550 Innes building.

About 5 minutes ago, someone called me from the front door call box stating they were SFPD, requesting to get buzzed in. Luckily, I did not, as I walked down, there was an african american woman with facial piercings and short hair with red highlights, stating someone took her stuff and ran into my building, the merchant. I asked if she was the one that called me and she said it wasn't her, it was the police and they were in the building looking for the guy. Please please please DO NOT buzz or let anyone in your building unless you personally know them, as I have a feeling she had her eye on all the packages in our lobby.
