To say the least, this is extremely concerning and I sympathize with those of you directly affected by this. To update the security of the building, how do we get Lennar or the HOA to activate the existing keypads that are already installed on doors and for the elevator? The entrances to the inside of the building located on the 2nd floor from the courtyard need to be secured as well. As someone pointed out, it's not hard to hop over the gate on Friedell and we don't need unwanted persons wandering the hallways.

Also I noticed Jason Buick mentioned package delivery missing, if any others of you had something delivered or are waiting for something to be delivered then please check to see if it was so we can get a complete list of missing packages.

This is very serious and needs quick attention. I am in India for work and keep thinking the worse is going on over there.

Sent from my iPhoneThank you for keeping us updated with this incident. I read the previous thread and was infuriated with how the security responded.
Also, I believe I saw boxes delivered (Thurs. or Fri.?) and they were outside the building. I wonder, with these current events, if we should have a sign letting the delivery personnel know to make sure to leave a note rather than leaving the goods outside? It does not happen often but with what is occurring, we really need to do something about this situation as well. I can make a quick note and tape it tomorrow morning before I leave for work.
Just a suggestion :)
Hazel Bautista-Romero (Unit 403)Hi Natalie - just got home and saw the already reported Maserati w/ broken right window. Not sure if you already received a photo- but wanted to share. Very scary please advise next steps to tighten security.

Sent from my iPhoneVery sorry to hear. This is absolutely crazy to say the least. And a quick question: Who has the parking spot#33? It is the one next to mine and the orange bike that has been leaning against the wall there is no longer there.
Just want to share you the remaining of my conversation with the security guy Saturday (I sent the whole thing to Lennar as well).
Furious and confused after I tried to report the incident to him, I walked back to my condo to get ready to go out to get my windows to be replaced. Before leaving, I walked outside and asked the security person's name. He said he is "Hassan." I told him that next time a resident approaches him to report an incident, he should perhaps be attentive, ask questions, etc. and that I was going to report this to Lennar. He said that he already did the reporting and that "no matter what I do", he added, "nothing is going to happen." And he again told me to have a good day in the most ridiculing and arrogant way possible. He tried to be intimidating. Perhaps it was because I was a woman and talking with an accent? Don't rule that out - given his immediate racist comment about this being an inside job since, in his words, "all kinds of nationalities live in this building."..... and I am one of them.
Two days in a row none of the security notices these guys coming in and coming out - with bikes!!! and we have security saying it is not their job to identify strangers walking in and out of our building (yes, "Hassan" said so). I guess those guys realised what a joke the security is such that they found the courage to come again. And also given the security so adamantly thinks it is not their job, it is a matter of time we hear another incident.
They could have easily walked up to our homes. We could have easily walked into the garage while they were there. This could have been much worse. I don't want to wake up to another incident tomorrow nor I want to open my unit's door to some stranger who is leisurely strolling in my building.
I shared all this with Lennar and copy/pasting here too - two emails we received about security after some problems we had before. See below. There are promises which are not kept.
All the very best,
GulnurMerchant#416

Subject: Building Updates
To:
Dear Merchant Residents,We would like to inform you of the following updates on the issues that have surfaced at the community.Security. This is of utmost importance to all of us. We would like to explain two components of our security programs; security service and security infrastructure.I. Security infrastructureThere are three limited access points on the building· Pedestrian Lobby Door (Donahue)· Pedestrian Courtyard Gate (Friedell)· Vehicle Entry Gate (Donahue)The three limited access points are functioning and locked as of today, January 15, 2016. The three limited access points are accessible by FOB access reader, key; and remote. The lobby door and courtyard gate will unlock by passing your FOB access to the reader. The automatic gate closer takes 15 seconds to completely close. The keypad phone entry system is being repaired next week, and we will issue an instruction sheet when it is complete.Be sure to bring your keys and FOBs with you as you start your day!II. Security ServiceWe have been augmenting the normal city safety procedures by paying for three different components of security presence: roving, walking patrol and off duty law enforcement. Following is a brief explanation of each of these entities and their functions:· First - There is roving security covering the main perimeter of the site around the clock.· Second - There is one walking security guard patrolling the perimeter of Olympia and Merchant.· Third - There is an off duty law enforcement officer positioned in an unmarked car on the corner of Innes and Donahue.· Additionally - Last week, in response to the voiced security concerns, we added another security guard, stationed outside of the garage gate on Donahue, put in place to remain until all of the entry/exit gates, doors and fobs are fully operational. We received confirmation this morning that all are working. The role of the security services is to deter unwanted visitors. Your role is to report unwanted visitors. If it is not urgent, you can report it to the customer care center. If it is urgent – please call 911! Your safety is everyone's number one priority. We are continually working on next steps. We are having fruitful conversations with SFPD to establish a location for them adjacent to The Storehouse. Within the next several months we will install a state-of-the-art surveillance system that will be linked to a "Surveillance Operations Center" (SOC) next to the Police location. As the community grows we will expand the camera presence, re-evaluate needs and explore new options.

Greeting All,Unfortunately, there was another broken window of Maserati today late morning or early afternoon.
I agreed, must add keypads this week on both entrance to the garage from the building side (mailbox area).
Also, I received a call from the outside the building door pretending to be UPS driver, if I could let him in for one of neighbor in unit 1015 , since the neighbor is not answering the call.
Please, do not let anyone in the building by calling from the outside door.
Looks like another car was broken intoMaserati spot 50
Sent from my iPhoneIt seems likely they are climbing over the gate to enter into the complex. I think that there needs to be a keypad added the the door in the mailbox area to the garage for added security.

I was in the lobby near the mailboxes around 115 pm today. Three young guys around 16 years old walked down the stairs from the second floor towards me , then into the garage. They were acting extremely suspicious and Ive never seen them before. Quite positive they dont live here. A few minutes later they were back in the lobby again, one of them even lingered and hovered near me in what felt like an aggressive posture. They then entered the garage once again. Im fairly certain it was them, they were acting extremely suspicious , but they were already inside the building I felt at odds profiling them as they could be guests. I say this to give a timeframe to check cameras. Sorry to hear this. Jason 406

Hi Jillian,
On the background of recent issues described by Gulnur, we just checked that two our bikes are missing from the parking space. Is it possible to check the cameras in the garage or outside?

Hi Neighbours,
I just found my car in the garage broken into. Both windows on the rear left. Yes, inside the garage.
And here is the conversation I had with the security around the corner sitting in his car:

Did you see anyone coming in and out or notice anything?Security: It is not my job.Me:I think it is.Security: We only patrol Donahue.Me: I live on Donahue.Security: How do you know someone from outside walked in? It is from inside I tell you.Me: You don't know that. That's why I am asking.Security: There are all kinds of nationalities live in this building. It is an inside job.Me: First you can't stereotype people like that. Second It is your job to patrol around this building in the first place.Security: You have a wonderful day mam. Bye.Me: ??
I won't even comment.
There were some emails from Lennar about improving security etc a while back. I couldn't locate them in my mailbox - I appreciate if you could forward them to me. I'll be pursuing this incident with them. Security have no protocol to deal with any type of issue. It is proven to be useless once more.
Best,
